This project consisted of the conversion of a 1,800sf accountant's office into Dr. Sheridan's dental practice.
Design Objective:
The office is located in so-called rainbow row, a block of multicolored bungalows turned into offices near the intersection Archibald and Central Street. The existing accountant's office reflected the bright colorful style of its neighborhood and Dr. Sheridan wanted the space to maintain its flair. The existing color scheme and design features such as the curved wall and rolling "barn" doors were preserved. The goal then was to insert the functional requirements of a dental office without having to rebuild everything or have it appear forced. Careful modifications to the space were made to allow the doctor to relocate her existing equipment from her previous location into her new space. The final result is a bright, colorful dental office that looks like it was always designed to be one.
Elements:
4 patient chairs
reused existing color scheme
